Meet Our New Designers!

A few weeks ago, we held an open design team call and I was overwhelmed by the response. We had so many talented designers apply and choosing just five designers to join us until December 2012, seemed an impossible task! If I could have 20 designers I would! In the end, these ladies all wrote wonderful applications from the heart and they are all avid players. If you were not chosen this time around, please know that in December, there will be another open call!  I would like to welcome these wonderful ladies to our team, I asked them to share a bit about themselves, so you could get to know them!

Hello, I am truly honored to be asked to be a Guest Designer for Freshly Made Sketches.  I started blogging in September 2011 and found the site soon after. The Design Team and Players have been a great inspiration in my card making.   I have been paper crafting since 1995.   Scrapbooks were my first love and card making soon followed.  I hope that my scrapbooks will leave a lasting legacy and that my cards bring a smile to the recipient.  I am an Independent Consultant for Close To My Heart.   I look forward to sharing my creations with you and being inspired by your creations as well.

I am a stay-at-home mom to two school-age kiddos, which means I do a lot of shuttling, homework and reading help, helping out in classrooms and spending time with them at home when they are not in school.  When I have some free time, my absolute favorite thing to do is to stamp!  I've been stamping for about 15 years and I've been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for a little more than 4 years.  My style is clean, simple with a lot of attention to detail.  My favorite kind of card is one that I can picture in my head and throw together in 30 minutes or less.  My other hobbies include knitting, photography, baking and spending time with my family.

Greetings from Iowa, where fields of opportunities await! A high school physics, chemistry and anatomy teacher for 34 years, I began my stamping career in 2009 when I purchased my first Stampin' Up! set at a yard sale.  It did not take me long to become addicted, and within a few months I signed up to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  In addition to being a Guest Designer with Freshly Made Sketches, I design for Pals Paper Arts and The Paper Players.  I am also a former Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen Design Team Member.

My son, Brady, is a graduate assistant at the University of Missouri at Columbia, where he is majoring in Music Performance-Trumpet.  My husband, Kim, is looking forward to retiring from the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.  Both are very supportive of my endeavors.  Of course, no biography would be complete without mentioning my constant companions and stamping buddies, Muffy and Brody, the Boxer Twins.

I am thrilled to be a part of this AMAZING Design Team.  It is my honor to stamp alongside such talented stampers!

Hi All!

I started stamping in 2010.  I’ve been a scrapbooker since 1997 when my daughter talked me into going in a “sticker store.”  I bought a cricut several years ago and started making a few cards with it.  But I needed sentiments so I started looking online for stamps.  The world of stamping and papercrafting opened up to me and I was hooked.  While I still scrapbook now and then, I spend most of my creative time making cards these days.

I grew up in Minnesota but headed out west when I graduated from college.  I married a California boy and we live in the San Francisco Bay Area.  We’ve been married 30 years and have a daughter who is all grown up and out on her own now.  Our other children include a dog, 2 cats, 2 snakes, 2 fish, and a hamster.  I work as a software developer at a research laboratory, a job that I love.  My indoor hobbies include stamping, cardmaking, scrapbooking and genealogy; outdoor hobbies: golf and hiking.

I am honored to be a member of the Freshly Made Sketches Clean Team!

Hello from Burlington, Ontario, Canada!  I am blessed to live here with my husband Trevor and our two energetic little boys Caleb and Jacob!  I quit my job in the pharmaceutical industry for the most rewarding job of all - staying at home with my treasures and crafting!
I started scrapbooking and card making in 2000 when my mom introduced me to this wonderfully addicting hobby!  I still remember the very first card I ever made!  I was introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2007 and became a demonstrator in 2009.  Since then my scrapbooking has turned mostly digital and card making has taken over my crafting time!

I am so excited to be part of the Freshly Made Sketches Design Team!
