Welcome to Freshly Made Sketches! Lesley here! This week I created a sketch that could be either simple or layered up with paper. School is just around the corner and with that comes the Fall...I noticed our team is beginning to show the signs of autumn with colour and texture...with Christmas not far behind!! Kathy's card has so many things that I love!  I'm a huge fan of autumn themed cards especially when they have pretty leaves.  And these fun leaves complement the earthy color of the card base so well.  The rustic stitching and brads frame the sentiment and make it really stand out.  And the zig zag stitching around the colorful leafy focal point adds interesting texture and pizzazz!  Congratulations, Kathy!  You're the Queen of Clean this week!

This card of Beverley’s ticked all the boxes for me …. clean, fresh, modern … and, masculine!  The cog wheels that grace the border is an awesome feature, I love the focal point of the library card panel with a simple clockface embellishment - perfect detailing, minimum fuss. Finally, the bold splashes of red against this neutral background adds that tiny bit of “pop” for a whole lotta “wow”!

I am a huge fan of Judy's and this week she does not disappoint with this lovely interpretation of my sketch! The warm, rich colours matched with the textured background and side panel added a lovely sophistication and elegance to her card! I love the way she coloured the beautiful poppies as well, and the accents of diamonds was the perfect final touch! Such a stunning card! It is indeed, "Freshly Made"!
