Freshly Made Sketches #551 - A Sketch by Kim

Welcome to Freshly Made Sketches!  Each week, one member of our design team creates a sketch for you to try.  The challenge is to follow our sketch while keeping your project clean-lined and fresh.  The "Clean Team" has come up with some "Freshly Made" designs to get you in the spirit.  We are so excited to see what YOU create!

It's Kim and I am bringing you the sketch for this week. I added a few stripes to an open panel. I'm not a big user of patterned paper so I love to put sketches together to challenge myself to use a few splashes of patterns.  Of course, you don't have to use patterns - any kind of stripe is a fun accent! I look forward to seeing what you create!

We have a few simple rules to keep things fun and fair for all of our players:

  • Please use any crafting product you would like to use.
  • Feel free to combine our challenge with up to THREE other challenges, except for another sketch challenge.
  • Please add a DIRECT link to your blog or other online gallery when adding your card to the link below.  If linking to a public gallery, use keyword #FMS551.
  • Include our challenge sketch and a link back to Freshly Made Sketches on your post.
  • Have fun!
This challenge will end at 3:00 EDT time on Monday, September 5th.  On Tuesday, we will announce the winner of this week's challenge who will be known as the "Queen or King of Clean".  The team will choose other gallery favorites to be known as a "Perfect Princess or Prince".

Winners For Sketch 550

The Clean Team has chosen the Princesses for you this week and our hostess Jen has chosen the Queen!

The Queen of Clean:  Greta from GG Creations

The gallery was so fabulous this week.  Thanks to everyone who played along with us and provided such beautiful inspiration.  Greta's card caught my eye because of the non-traditional color scheme for a Christmas card.  The pinks and greens are so eye-catching.  And the glimmer die-cut sentiment is perfect to finish off the look.  Congratulations on being the Queen of Clean, Greta!

Join us tomorrow for a new sketch from Kim!
